Solar Wind Data is downloaded from a Nasa Satellite Server which affects the physics of a virtual pendulum. The virtual pendulum sends data to a micro controller which tells a piano hammer to strike custom made glass bells.
This video demonstrates the backend software that runs the physical installation. When data is requested from the server, it is parsed out and used to toss around the pendulum. When it collides with 1 of the 5 planes, an instruction is sent to the microcontroller to strike a bell.
